  • We do not sell your personal data, and the apps contain no analytics or crash-reporting tools.

  • Location, calendar, photo-library and notification access are optional.
  • The free plan shows ads from Google AdMob; paid plans have no ads.
  • You can delete your account and its data from inside any of the four apps.

This policy explains what the four Buddy apps listed below ("the apps") collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The apps are published by KAI SOFT COMPANY LIMITED ("we", "us"). Our fifth app, Oakie Home Inventory & Resell, has its own privacy policy.

One account across our apps

All five of our apps — the four above and Oakie Home Inventory & Resell — share one account system and one database (Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Content you create in one app can appear in, or be used by, the others: for example, finished tasks become diary entries, a shopping trip can create a transaction, and shortcuts you teach one app can add items to another app's lists.

1. Information We Collect

Account

Your email address and password. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see your password. We also keep a profile record (your user ID, email address, and when the account was created and last updated), your settings (such as language and preferences), and your plan and AI-energy balance.

Content you create

Everything you save is stored in your account. What that includes depends on the app:

🔥 Fenik AI To-Do List & Planner: tasks and reminders; trips (destination and travel time); progress stats; the commands you give the assistant, with its replies; custom aliases; task requests you send to, or receive from, people you link with; and family links (nickname and email).

🐢 Teta Grocery List & Fridge: household items and their usage log; shopping lists and shopping trips (store names and amounts spent); recipes; rules the assistant learns from your corrections; and shared pantries and invitations (member names and the invitee's email).

🐷 Moni Expense Tracker & Budget: transactions, wallets, budgets, debts, goals, investments, subscriptions you record, quick actions, projects, activity log and net-worth snapshots; fingerprints of the slips and photos you scan (file name, file size and image dimensions — not the image) to avoid duplicates; phrases you taught Moni and the categories they map to; shared wallets and invitations; and discount-claim evidence, if you submit a claim.

🦉 Owl Life Journal & Memories: diary entries (text, photos you attach, place name and weather); location waypoints (latitude and longitude rounded to 4 decimal places, plus a place name); private vault items; and family links.

Photos

Only photos you take or choose. On Android, if you allow photo access, Moni (to find bank transfer slips) and Owl (to show the photos you took on a given day) can scan your photo library. The scan runs on your device, and only the photos you then pick or confirm are processed further. Moni explains why before it asks for this access.

Voice

Speech-to-text is done by your device's operating system service (Apple or Google). The apps receive only the text and do not upload the audio.

Location (Fenik and Owl only, optional)

Only if you allow it, and only while the app is in use. Your coordinates are sent to BigDataCloud to look up a place name and, in Owl, to Open-Meteo for the weather. Fenik may also send a trip's origin and destination to Google Maps Platform (Routes API) to estimate travel time.

Calendar (Fenik only, optional)

If you allow calendar access, Fenik reads the upcoming events on your device for the next 35 days: title, time, location, calendar name and meeting platform. When you ask the assistant something, these events are included in the request to Google Gemini. We do not store them.

Bank and card notifications (Moni on Android only, optional)

If you allow notification access — Moni shows an explanation first — Moni reads the text of notifications from banking apps on your device and extracts the amount, merchant and date on the device. The raw text is never stored or sent. Only the transactions you confirm are saved.

Purchases and AI energy

Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never receive your card details. RevenueCat, Inc. manages your subscription status using your user ID and store receipts. We keep your plan status and an energy ledger — a record of the AI energy added to and used from your balance — for billing and fraud prevention.

2. How AI Features Use Your Data

AI features use the Google Gemini API (Google LLC). Before the first AI request, the app asks for your permission. If you decline, the AI features stay off and the rest of the app keeps working.

When you use an AI feature, what you type, dictate or photograph is sent together with the account data needed to answer:

• Fenik: your tasks and reminders, a summary of your recent chat, and your upcoming calendar events (if you allowed calendar access).

• Teta: your items, shopping lists, recipes, reminders and learned rules.

• Moni: your last 50 transactions, month totals, projects and debts.

• Owl: the diary text you write or dictate, entry titles (to categorise entries automatically), and the entries used to write your weekly letter or day summary.

Requests go from the app to Google directly or through our server (Google Cloud Functions). Processing by Google is subject to Google's Gemini API terms and Privacy Policy.

AI records kept in your account

  • Fenik keeps your command history: each command, its reply and the detected intent.
  • Only if you opt in, Fenik also keeps fuller records of your AI interactions. They are designed to expire after 180 days, and you can delete them at any time in Settings.
  • Rules Teta learns and phrases you teach Moni stay in your account until you delete your account.

3. Ads on the Free Plan

Fenik, Teta, Moni and Owl show ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC) on the free plan only. Paid plans have no ads, and Oakie Home Inventory & Resell has no ads.

  • What AdMob may collect: your device's advertising identifier (on iOS, only if you allow tracking), IP address and approximate location, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. AdMob uses them to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
  • Your choices: on iOS, the app asks for your permission to track (App Tracking Transparency). In the EEA and the UK, Google's consent form is shown where required. Without consent, ads are non-personalised.
  • Rewarded videos: your user ID is sent with the ad so the reward can be verified server-side.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To run the apps and keep your content in your account, available across our apps.
  • To provide the AI features you allow.
  • To avoid recording the same slip or photo twice in Moni.
  • To show and measure ads on the free plan, and to prevent fraud.
  • To manage your plan and AI energy, for billing and fraud prevention.
  • To respond when you email us — for example, to access, correct, export or delete your data.

Where laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply, we process your data to provide the service you asked for, for our legitimate interests in keeping the apps secure and preventing fraud, and with your consent for AI features, for personalised ads where consent is required, and for optional device permissions such as location, calendar, photos, microphone and notifications.

5. Sharing

With people you choose

We share your content with other people only when you choose to:

  • Family links (Fenik, Owl): the nickname and email are visible to the person you link with.
  • Shared reminders and task requests (Fenik): they go to the people you link with.
  • Shared diary entries and vault items (Owl): the recipient sees the whole shared item, including photos, place and weather. A shared vault item contains the readable value for the recipient.
  • Shared wallets (Moni) and shared pantries (Teta): shared with the people you invite by email.

With service providers

  • Google LLC — Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions (your account, the database and our server), the Gemini API (AI features), AdMob (ads on the free plan) and Google Maps Platform (travel time in Fenik).
  • Apple and Google — app stores, payments, and speech-to-text through your device's operating system.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription status.
  • BigDataCloud — place names from coordinates (Fenik, Owl).
  • Open-Meteo — weather (Owl).

Exchange rates come from open.er-api.com; no personal data is sent to it.

For legal reasons

We may also share information when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We do not sell personal data. The apps contain no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

6. Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore. It is encrypted in transit (TLS) and protected by database access rules. Owl's vault items are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded; if you share a vault item, the shared copy contains the readable value for the recipient. Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States.

7. Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists.

  • Delete your account in the app: in Fenik, Teta or Owl, open Settings and tap Delete account; in Moni, open the Settings menu and tap Delete account. After a confirmation step, this deletes your account and its data across all our apps, including Oakie Home Inventory & Resell.
  • Without the app: email contact@kaisoft.net from your account's email address with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and delete your account and its data within 30 days.

After your account is deleted, any remaining backup copies are purged within 90 days.

Deleting your account does not remove:

  • What you shared with other people — it stays with them. For example, shared wallets and shared pantries remain for their other members, and task requests you sent stay in the recipient's inbox.
  • Purchase and energy records we need for billing, tax or fraud prevention.
  • Data held by Apple, Google, RevenueCat and AdMob, which follows their own policies.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

8. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access, correction, export or deletion: ask us by email at contact@kaisoft.net. We respond within 30 days.
  • AI: decline when the app asks before the first AI request. The AI features stay off and the rest of the app keeps working.
  • Device permissions: access such as location, calendar, photos, microphone and notifications is optional — you can deny it.
  • Ads: change your ad tracking or consent choices in your device settings or consent settings.
  • Subscriptions: manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Restore Purchases is in the app's membership screen.

Depending on where you live — for example under Thailand's PDPA, the EU/UK GDPR or California privacy law — you may have additional rights, such as to access, correct, delete or port your data, or to object to how it is processed. Contact us to use them.

9. Children's Privacy

The apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and let you know in the apps.
