Subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple or Google. To change or cancel a subscription, open your subscriptions in the App Store or on Google Play. Cancelling stops future renewals.
Bought a plan on another device, or reinstalled the app? Open the membership screen in Owl and tap Restore Purchases. Paid plans have no ads.

Frequently Asked Questions
I can't sign in, or I forgot my password
Check that your email address is spelled correctly and that your device is online. If you forgot your password, email us from the address you signed up with and we'll send you a link to reset it. Owl uses the same account as our other Buddy apps, so the same email and password work in all of them.
Why are my finished tasks in my diary?
Owl shares one account and one database with our other Buddy apps, so content you create in one app can appear in the others. Tasks you finish in Fenik AI To-Do List & Planner become diary entries in Owl.
How does Owl add the place and weather?
Only if you allow location access, and only while the app is in use. Owl sends your coordinates to BigDataCloud to look up the place name and to Open-Meteo for the weather. Location waypoints are saved as latitude and longitude rounded to 4 decimal places, plus the place name.
Why does Owl ask for access to my photos?
On Android, if you allow photo access, Owl can show the photos you took on a given day. The scan runs on your device, and only the photos you pick or confirm are processed further. You can also take or choose a photo yourself.
How private is the vault?
Vault items are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded. If you share a vault item, the shared copy contains the readable value, so the person you share it with can read it.
What does someone see when I share a diary entry?
The whole entry, including its photos, place and weather. Entries and vault items you share stay with the people you shared them with, even if you later delete your account.
What does Owl's AI read?
Before the first AI request, Owl asks for your permission. If you decline, the AI features stay off and the rest of the app keeps working. If you allow it, Google's Gemini API processes the diary text you write or dictate, entry titles (to sort entries into categories automatically) and the entries used for your weekly letter or day summary.
Voice input doesn't work
Voice input uses your device's speech-to-text service from Apple or Google, so check that Owl is allowed to use the microphone in your device settings. Owl receives only the text — the audio is not uploaded. You can always type instead.
Why do I see ads?
The free plan shows ads from Google AdMob; paid plans have no ads. On iOS, Owl asks whether you allow tracking, and in the EEA and the UK Google's consent form is shown where required. Without consent, ads are non-personalised. You can change these choices in your device settings or consent settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what AdMob may collect.
Delete Your Account and Data
In the app
Open Settings, tap Delete account, and confirm. This deletes your account and its data across all our apps: Owl shares one account with Fenik AI To-Do List & Planner, Teta Grocery List & Fridge, Moni Expense Tracker & Budget and Oakie Home Inventory & Resell, so your data in those apps is deleted too.
Without the app
Email contact@kaisoft.net from your account's email address, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and delete your account and its data within 30 days.
A few things are not deleted:
- What you shared stays with the people you shared it with — for example, diary entries and vault items you shared.
- Purchase and energy records needed for billing, tax or fraud prevention.
- Data held by Apple, Google, RevenueCat and AdMob, which follows their own policies.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in the App Store or on Google Play first. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
